Hello Florida Pickleball Enthusiast!
I am so happy you are looking to get on a team with Florida Team Pickleball Leagues. We are operating in several Florida areas and plan to expand throughout the state.
Now that you have filled out the PSAT (Player Seeking a Team) form you will be in a database where you will be sorted by the skill, gender and teams you are interested in playing on in your area. But it is not a guarantee that you will get on a team. What typically happens is that lots of players like yourself want to get onto a team, but the group needs a captain. So let me give you a quick pitch on being a team captain:
First, you will definitely be on a team – which is your goal!
Secondly, you don’t have to be the best player to be a captain, just somewhat organized.
And third, we have the means to help people like yourself to put a team together.
So, with that said, if you want to give the Captain role a try, please email your league coordinator found on the main website under “Our Team”. The league coordinator can give you more information and answer questions you have. If you have no interest in being a Captain, then rest assured, you are on the PSAT list and we will do everything we can to get you on a team, or try to get your started as a sub.
Thanks again for your interest in the Florida Pickleball Leagues.
